Brief description

Further circular hiking route with a distance of around 11 kilometers from Krumbach to Bad Schönau and back along the Zöbernbach.

Description

The path from Krumbach to Bad Schönau leads along remote roads through meadows, fields and quiet forest paths. At about 600 meters altitude, there is a great view of Krumbach and the castle. In Ödenhofen is the well-known inn Triad, whose creative, seasonal cuisine has been awarded several times. It also offers a farm shop, a pond, a vegetable garden and overnight accommodations. A reservation is recommended. The path continues to the centre of Bad Schönau, past the Erasmus Cross. The spa town offers hotels, dining options and a spa park. The way back runs along the Zöbernbach and leads to Krumbach.

Route description Hike Krumbach: Triad

The start is at the Krumbach municipal parking lot. From there, go right over Marktstraße and Tiefenbachstraße, following the orange marking, turn left towards Lindenhof - Fasching - Triad - Bad Schönau (km 2.2). At Lindenhof, turn right towards Triad - Bad Schönau onto the paved road towards Dirndlbauer (Fasching). In Fasching (km 3.2), take the field path, turn left into the forest and follow the forest or forestry road until the Uterlutsch farm road. Then turn right towards Triad, cross the federal road and turn left along the bike path to Krumbach town centre or to the Bad Schönau town centre.

Directions

From Vienna: Take the A2 South Motorway, exit at Krumbach. Continue to the Krumbach junction. Continue on Kirchschlager Str./B55. Turn left onto Marktstraße in Krumbach. Turn right to stay on Marktstraße.

From Graz: Take the A2 South Motorway, exit at Aspang-Zöbern. Turn right onto L137. Continue on Kampichl and Hauptstraße. Hauptstraße turns left in Zöbern and becomes Austraße. Follow L137 to Unterhaus near Krumbach and turn left onto Kirchschlager Str./B55. Continue on B55. Turn right onto Marktstraße and left to stay on Marktstraße.
