Description

The approximately 11 km long circular hiking route "Enjoy with all your senses" starts in front of the municipal office and leads in a wide loop through the most beautiful areas of Höflein back to the starting point. Along the way, display boards provide information about the formation of the landscape, the diversity of the local plants and animals, as well as about the life and work of the people who consider themselves lucky to be at home here. The route poses no difficulties, it is easy to walk, and can be left or shortened at any time via many side paths. Two large inns - Jautschnig and Mohr - invite you to stop for refreshment and strengthening. Also recommended are the seasonal wine taverns of some farmers who offer homemade food and traditional drinks. "Enjoy with all your senses" - a motto that the Höflein experience hiking trail also lives up to in this form.

Route description Enjoy with all your senses

The circular hiking route can be walked from both directions. The following description starts at the municipal office and first leads through Unterhöflein, to Zweiersdorf and Oberhöflein.

We walk across the playground behind the municipal office and follow the path to the left. We stay on this field path which eventually leads to an asphalt road to the mine adit. Past the show adit, we continue on the road and keep left, which leads us to a junction at the federal road. We cross the federal road and continue along Lindenweg past a chapel. At the junction to Eisenbahnweg, there is a small path straight ahead through which we enter the Komühle. We follow this path until we reach a fork. Here we turn left onto Kirchbüchlweg. Past Gasthof Jautschnig, we cross the federal road again, keep left towards the bus stop and then turn right onto Zweierweg. The asphalt road leads into a field path, which we follow to a junction where we turn right. Immediately after, a fork follows where we go left onto the forest path. We stay on this forest hiking trail and keep left until the path leads us out of the forest. Now we leave the hiking trail and turn right to continue along the forest edge. This leads us back onto the marked hiking trail. At the next junction, we turn left and follow the path to the junction with Neue-Welt Straße. Here we see on the left the start of Zweiersdorf village and follow the road in this direction. After Gasthof Mohr, we turn right onto the forest road. At the second opportunity, we turn left. We follow this path until we turn left again onto a hiking path. We keep to the path, then turn right twice to stay on the hiking trail. At the next junction on the left, we enter Hochfallweg, from there we take the hiking path to Springlesweg. Then we turn left onto Bergstraße and at the following junction right onto Hinterleitenweg. At the end of this path, we cross the street and continue cross-country until we reach a stream. We keep left and walk along the stream until we reach the paved road, Am Schlossgberg. We walk towards the chapel and then turn right onto Dorfstraße. This leads us to a junction where we turn right onto Neue-Welt Straße. We walk to the end of Oberhöflein village and then turn right onto a narrow field path. We keep left along the stream and cross a bridge. The path after the bridge leads us back behind the playground to our start and end point, the municipal office.
