Eis-Greissler ice-cream by Blochberger

Description

“To produce good quality ice-cream, you need to have the confidence to not use colours and additives,” says ice-cream maker, Georg Blochberger. You also need to invent tasty recipes and only use the best ingredients, such as organic milk from your own herd of cows.

Graumohn poppy seeds, alpine caramel and vegan strawberry ice-cream: In Krumbach in the Bucklige Welt, the Blochberger family make 100% natural ice-cream using their own organic milk taken from their own cows and additional select ingredients. The ice-cream does not contain artificial aromas, colours and preservatives and up to two varieties are made without eggs, yet they are bursting with flavour.

Exquisite flavours

Eis-Greissler ice cream from the Vienna Alps has become best known not only for its exceptional quality, but also for its unusual and seasonal flavours, such as goat’s cheese, asparagus, or pistachio with salt and nutmeg. The Blochbergers also use fruit and vegetables they have grown themselves where possible, preferably freshly picked from their own garden.

Guided factory tour

By visiting the ice-cream factory, you can follow each step in the ice-cream making process. The discovery tour begins with milking the cows, takes a look at production and ends with a tasting session in the farm shop. Relax and have fun on the large terrace and conservatory. Smaller ice-cream lovers can enjoy themselves on the large playground.

From Krumbach to major cities

The ice cream is available from Eis-Greissler stops in Vienna, Wiener Neustadt, Graz and Klagenfurt, Linz and in selected restaurants – many of which are in the Vienna Alps.
