Schneeberg Chairlift

Taking the four-seater chairlift into the hiker’s paradise at the Fadensattel – family-friendly and with cosy huts.

The comfortable 4-seater chairlift at the tip of the valley takes you to the Fadensattel at around 1,200 metres above sea level in just a few minutes – high Alpine terrain and the starting point for panoramic hikes on the Schneeberg, as well as adventure trails through rugged rock formations around the Schneeberg.

The varied network of trails in all degrees of difficulty promises hiking pleasure and happiness for everyone. Hearty delicacies and the picture-book panoramic view from the sun terraces of the huts on the Schneeberg round off an eventful day of hiking on the easternmost 2,000 m peak in the Alps (2,076 m).

• One particular sensation for children is the “Wunderwiese” near the valley station or the “Wundereralm” at the mountain station. Exciting attractions like the “Mattenskihang”, the “Sommerflitzer”, the “PuchiCarts”, the versatile Alpine playground, funny photo prints and much more all await.
• Authentic mountain dishes from all over the world can be enjoyed in the rustic parlours and on the panoramic terraces of the huts on the Schneeberg. Close to the mountain station, you will find the Edelweißhütte mountain hut and the Almreserlhaus (approx. 10 minutes’ walk), which also offer exciting children’s play areas and cosy sleeping facilities.
• The Pizzeria Alpentaverne directly at the foot of the mountain also offers the chance to recharge your batteries – whether before or after your mountain experience.
