Waldegg train station

The rustic reception building at Waldegg station in the market town of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of Wiener Neustadt-Land is equipped with covered waiting facilities as well as loudspeakers and timetable displays to provide rail passengers with sufficient information about current transport operations in addition to the tranquil ambience. In addition to almost 20 parking spaces, which are made available to rail passengers, 10 parking spaces for bicycles have also been installed.

The Waldegg stop is located along the route of the Piestingtal Railway.

Hike to the Waldeggerhaus

One of the most beautiful hiking routes in the Piestingtal leads from Waldegg station to the Waldeggerhaus Hohe Wand. Via Bockleiten and the Große Klause the route leads past numerous inns and delicacies to the Waldeggerhaus on the Hohe Wand. The refuge at an altitude of 1002m is already being run by the fourth generation of the Apfler family, who value tradition highly and are not stingy with the fantastic views of the Schneeberg and the Ötscher.
