Hike to the Waldeggerhaus
One of the most beautiful hiking routes in the Piestingtal valley leads from Waldegg station to the Waldeggerhaus Hohe Wand. Via Bockleiten and the Große Klause, the route leads past numerous inns and delicatessens to the Waldeggerhaus on the Hohe Wand. The refuge at an altitude of 1002m is now run by the fourth generation of the Apfler family, who value tradition highly and are not stingy with the fantastic views of the Schneeberg and Ötscher mountains.
