Station Markt Piesting

The completely renovated reception building at Markt Piesting station in the market town of the same name in the Lower Austrian district of Wiener Neustadt Land offers a cozy atmosphere as well as covered and sheltered waiting facilities.

Some parking spaces are available on site for those changing trains, and there is also a covered bicycle parking area.

Route information

The Markt Piesting stop is located along the route of the Piestingtalbahn.

• Regional trains to Gutenstein station and the main station in Wiener Neustadt stop here.
• There are also connecting buses to Winzendorf and Dreistetten.

Hiking in the Piestingtal

The hiking starting point at the beginning of the enchanting Piestingtal valley is just a five-minute walk from the train station. The signposted stage hikes along the Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail) lead to Bad Fischau, Puchberg am Schneeberg or Waxeneckhaus, depending on the route chosen. Numerous culinary refreshment stops can be found along each of the routes.

Cycling in the Piestingtal valley

Those who prefer to get on their bikes after the train journey can enjoy the Piestingtal cycle path. Wild and romantic routes lead along the nature-rich EuroVelo 9 route to Gutenstein or on to Rohr im Gebirge. Hardly any inclines and well-maintained paths make this a dream route for all members of the family.
