Description

The large reception building at Ebenfurth station houses a waiting area and a ticket machine installed at the entrance. Digital train destination displays and loudspeaker announcements keep rail passengers up to date with the current service.

220 parking spaces for cars and mopeds contribute significantly to a comfortable rail experience, as do the more than 80 parking spaces for bicycles.

Route information

Ebenfurth station is located just on the border with Burgenland on the Pottendorf Line, the Pannonia Railway and the Raaber Railway.

  • The S60 rapid transit line to Vienna Central Station and Wiener Neustadt stops here.
  • Regional express trains also run to Deutschkreuz and Vienna Central Station.
  • Trains to Bratislava also stop here.
  • Numerous connecting buses to Eisenstadt, Hornstein, Felixdorf and Wiener Neustadt can be reached directly from the station forecourt.

Ebenfurth Castle

Just a 10-minute walk from Ebenfurth train station is the impressive moated castle of the municipality of the same name. Following a change of ownership in 2010, Ebenfurth Castle was extensively renovated, but the characteristic features of the castle were taken into account, thus awakening a true cultural gem from its deep slumber. These walls can be visited and admired as part of events and guided tours.
