Description

Although the large reception building at Bad Fischau station is no longer in use, it provides a warmly inviting backdrop to the station in the market town of the same name in the Wiener Neustadt Land district of Lower Austria.

Passengers at the single-track station are informed about ongoing rail operations by loudspeaker announcements and timetable notices. A few parking spaces are also available on site for transfer passengers, and tickets can be purchased conveniently from the ticket vending machine.

Bad Fischau station is located along the route of the Piestingtal Railway.

  • Regional trains stop here for the station to Gutenstein, as well as for the main station to Wiener Neustadt.

Hiking & Walking

Numerous hiking and walking routes can be explored in the area around Bad Fischau. For example, the Bad Fischau hiking starting point is only a 10-minute walk from the train station. Along the well-signposted paths, there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments, such as the Hubertushof Fromwald.

If you walk just two minutes further, you will see children's eyes wide open, because the elephant playground is a natural play area at the edge of the forest, made for romping and moving around. Comfortable seating for parents and children to have a snack and rest invites you to stay a little longer.
