Description
The Schutzhaus Waxeneck (785m) is the stage destination of the trail along the Wiener Alpenbogen - Arc of the Viennese Alps (trail). The stage leads from Pernitz past the Myrafälle Muggendorf hiking and water world to the Waxeneckhaus in just under six hours.
On the terrace with a view of the Schneeberg, Wiener Schnitzel veal, seasonal game and beer from the Hainfeld private brewery replenish your energy reserves. Strengthened, the next stage continues to Piesting.
A leisurely alternative: the 30-minute walk from the parking lot at Pass Hals to the Schutzhaus, where young hikers can let off steam at the children's playground. Those who prefer a more comfortable option can drive up by car.
