Raxalm mountain inn

The Raxalm Berggasthof is located directly at the summit station of the Rax Areal Ropeway and is open almost all year round. Thanks to its unique location, it is the ideal starting point for hikes across the Rax plateau through fragrant mountain pine fields in summer or for snowshoe hikes on quiet winter paths.

The large sun terrace invites you to relax - with coffee, homemade cake and a good book. In the evening, the fireplace provides cozy warmth while the setting sun bathes the mountain peaks in golden light.

Hiking & hut hopping

Numerous tours start from the Berggasthof, including the popular "hut hopping" on the Raxplateau: from the house to the Ottohaus, on to the Höllentalaussicht, to the Neue Seehütte or up to the Habsburghaus and on to the Preiner Gscheid.

In addition to the hut hikes, there are impressive viewpoints such as the Ottohaus lookout point or the Höllentalaussicht. The Rax offers a wide range of options: from leisurely family hikes to challenging mountain tours for experienced hikers.
