Kranichberger Schwaig

Lodge / hut, Tavern / inn

Description

The Kranichberger Schwaig is nestled between gentle alpine pastures and the striking peaks of the Vienna Alps. Here, vast nature meets the feeling of originality: at around 1,400 meters above sea level, a panorama opens up that stretches from Wechselland deep into the valley. Hikers enjoy the clear mountain air, discover rare alpine flowers along the way and let their gaze wander into the distance again and again.

The Schwaig is a popular starting point for a variety of tours - from leisurely alpine walks to panoramic mountain hikes. Those who stop in will find rustic hospitality and simple dishes with regional ingredients. In summer, the alpine pasture offers a lively scene when grazing animals roam the meadows, while in winter the snowy landscape becomes the starting point for snowshoe hikes or ski tours.

The Kranichberger Schwaig is a piece of living mountain pasture culture that combines the tranquillity of the mountains with earthy hospitality - a place to be consciously on the move and experience the Vienna Alps from one of their most beautiful perspectives.
