The Kienthalerhütte is the ideal place for a rest when climbing the Schneeberg from the Höllental and a popular destination for climbing enthusiasts. The rustic wooden log cabin dating back to 1896 offers hearty soups and refreshing drinks after a 2.5-hour walk from the Weichtalhaus in the Höllental valley between Schneeberg and Rax or from Losenheim . Those who master the via ferrata to the Turmstein (1,416 m) located directly behind the hut are rewarded with a breathtaking view of the Große Höllental, the Rax, Schneealpe and the Mürzsteger and Türnitzer Alps. Both rooms and campsites can be reserved for overnight stays at the Kienthalerhütte.
Opening hours: Easter - All Saints' Day, Saturday from 11 a.m. to Sunday until 4 p.m., public holidays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
