Description
Around 200 years ago, weary hikers and pilgrims would stop off at the Auerhahn to fortify themselves with down-to-earth, home-style cooking. The inn is located in the immediate vicinity of the Maria Schutz basilica and is an ideal place to stop for refreshments after a pilgrimage.
Refreshments while hiking
Hikers will also find a cozy rest stop here: after a tour on the Sonnwendstein, the inn is a worthwhile tip. Via the mountain hunters' trail leads from the Sonnwendstein to Maria Schutz, and there are also varied routes from Semmering to the village.
