The Weichtalhaus (653m) is located in the Höllental valley between the Rax and Schneeberg mountains. The three-storey hut is used, among other things, as a training and climbing center for the Vienna Naturefriends. The Weichtalhaus is the starting point for over 2,000 routes in the middle of Austria's largest climbing area. The location near the left bank of the Schwarza river in the Höllental valley and at the entrance to the Weichtalklamm gorge as well as diagonally opposite the Grosses Höllental valley is therefore a worthwhile destination for hikers and, above all, for ambitious climbers.

Special tip: Get a filled picnic rucksack for an excursion in the Höllental.
