Marien Villa. now Villa Sebaldi
In 1895, Johann Mader had another villa built next to his "Waldquelle" villa by Karl Postl, which he named after his wife. The basement is made of grouted quarry stone masonry, with brick segmental arches in the windows. The corners of the raised first floor have decorative ashlars. On the north side, there is a massive veranda with a wide flight of steps leading up to it. 25 years ago, Hubert and Helga Klösch bought the villa to spend their retirement on the Rax.
From 2009-2017, the K&K village museum with nostalgic objects and dolls, lovingly created by doll maker Helga Klösch, was located in the basement. You could admire a show kitchen from the time of great-grandma, a doll collection and school props from the turn of the century.
Since 2007, the house has also been home to a private cardiology practice, which moved into the premises of the former museum in 2017.
Since 2017, the house has also been rented out to summer visitors and now also for up to 12 people, and has been lovingly renovated since the pandemic, "Pimp up my house" with the idea and effort to preserve the old walls and the turn of the century spirit.
Now there are two possibilities to rent the house:
1. up to 6 people - one level
2. up to 12 people - two levels
In any case, the house is yours alone!"
NOTE: Please note the information on booking options on the website www.villa-sebaldi.com of the accommodation!
The villa is easily and conveniently accessible with the RUFbus Semmering-Rax. The nearest bus stop is just a few minutes' walk away. (bus stop PY16 Mühlhofsiedlung)
