This 100-year-old wooden house is surrounded by forest on 3 sides and offers a fantastic view of the Rax. The south-facing, sunny view stretches from the Rax to the Preiner Gschaid. The house offers heating with two Swedish stoves, which are able to heat the entire house. A modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge (with freezer compartment) and induction stove completes the basic equipment. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature.

There are 2 bedrooms, one large bedroom with a double bed 180 x 200cm, the other with two double beds 140 x 200cm. WC and shower on the same level accessible from both rooms.
In the living room there is television via internet streaming on a projector with an electrically operated projector screen. WLAN free throughout the house. In addition, there is an electric heater for quick warmth for preheating. For long-term stays, there is the aforementioned WLAN and workstation on the dining table or at the small work table in the living room for home office. You can also connect your laptop to the projector.

Access for guests:
The entire house is available to guests. This includes: 2 WCs (first floor and upper floor), kitchen and dining room as well as 2 bedrooms with bath and shower.

The house is 100 years old and the insulation does not meet modern standards. Therefore, when it is cold, make sure to heat the stove in the dining room in the evening with the stored wood so that it is always warm in the bedrooms upstairs. The electric radiators only serve as supplementary heating and should not be used as the sole heating system.

Description of the neighborhood
There is only nature in the immediate vicinity. Reichenau an der Rax is about 7-10 minutes away by car, where you can find everything you need, such as a pharmacy, several supermarkets, ATM and train station (Payerbach-Reichenau). It takes about 30 minutes to go skiing (Semmering/Stuhleck): Furthermore, there is an excellent bakery/pastry shop in Reichenau and for cultural delights in summer (July/August) the widely known Reichenau Festival. You can reach the most beautiful hiking trails right from the house through the hotel's own forest. There are many hiking options: for example up the Rax - either on foot or by cable car. On hot days, the Schwarza offers refreshment or you can simply enjoy the sun by the cool river. For those who like it sporty, there are numerous via ferratas between difficulty levels 1 to 11 and secured rock climbs (between A to D) on the Rax and also on the Schneeberg. The Schwarza is also unobstructed kayak water (A to D).

On the way around the accommodation
Public transport (bus) is available directly in Edlach an der Rax, approx. 10 minutes' walk from the house. This leads to Payerbach to the train station, where you can be in Vienna in approx. 1 hour. (Wiesel)
