Habsburghaus

At 1,785 meters above sea level, the Habsburghaus at the summit of the Grieskogel offers a retreat with far-reaching views. If you look through the panoramic windows of the restaurant, you can see the Schneealpe, Ötscher and Hochschwab.

Homemade hut dishes

The Habsburghaus serves traditional mountain hut dishes - prepared with fresh ingredients from family farms in the region. Classics such as hearty beef and vegetable soups with bacon or cheese dumplings, savory liver cassettes and sweet temptations such as bee sting tiramisu or cheesecake make a stop here a real treat.
At lunchtime and in the evening, there is also a choice of up to four different main courses - for meat lovers, vegetarians or vegans.

Rest comfortably

After a bite to eat, you can relax with a book in the cozy seating area by the stove. If you stay overnight, you will be rewarded with a spectacular sunset . Overnight stays can be booked online at hut-reservation.org. You will need to bring your own sleeping bag .

Hiking destination for demanding hikers and connoisseurs

The Habsburghaus can be reached via family-friendly routes from the Rax cable car as well as sporty via ferratas . The direct route from the summit station takes around two and a half hours. Other options include the ascent via Hinternasswald or from Preiner Gscheid, which takes around 3 hours.
