A selective route, groomed for classic and skating, leads over a loop trail from the Gasthof Kummerbauerstadl back to the starting point.
Description
The entire Wechsel-Panoramaloipe lies above 1,000 meters altitude. This guarantees not only wonderful panoramic views of Schneeberg, Rax, Wechsel, and the surrounding regions, but also a high snow reliability. Provided there is enough snow for grooming, the trail is groomed from early December to the end of March and runs through varied terrain, also splitting into smaller loop sections. Loop trail number 12 starts at the Alpengasthof Kummerbauerstadl. The approximately 8-kilometer-long route is suitable for athletic cross-country skiers. The Gasthof Kummerbauerstadl is the ideal starting point for cross-country skiing tours or other sporting activities. It is open year-round with Monday as the day of rest. Besides culinary delights with ingredients from the region, the Alpengasthof also offers accommodation and a wellness offer. From here, the panoramic trail continues over the Feistritzsattel to the Wechsel.

Route description Wechsel-Panoramaloipe: Loop Trail Kummerbauerstadl
From the entry at Kummerbauerstadl, the trail first leads us curving uphill. After about two kilometers, the track splits and we decide in which direction we want to run the loop. The route marked on the map first goes to the left. We reach the turning point at about 4 kilometers. We turn right back and return to the starting point.

Coming from Vienna or Graz via the A2 to the Seebenstein junction - S6 to the Gloggnitz exit to Otterthal - Trattenbach, turn right in Anger towards Hinterotter.

Parking
Sufficient parking is available at the Gasthof Kummerbauerstadl.
The Gasthaus Kummerbauerstadl is not
accessible by public transport.
The nearest village Trattenbach can be reached from Gloggnitz by regional bus 1734 (direction Kirchschlag/Wechsel Hotel Post) to the Otterthal GH Rottensteiner stop and transfer to regional bus 1736 (direction Trattenbach village center). Get off at the last stop.
