The beautifully renovated castle adorns the townscape of Ramplach. The wayside crosses (Weberkreuz, Marchstein, Rehgartlkreuz) and the Hohle Stein near Hafning - a natural monument - are also of historical interest.

In ancient times, the area was part of the province of Noricum. Wartmannstetten was first mentioned in a document in 1192 in the "Formbacher Traditionskodex". However, early historical finds and excavations show that settlement in the municipal area goes back much further. The Wartmannstetter local historian Michael Puhr has documented finds from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Late Iron Age and Roman period, among others. More information about the history of the municipality can be found in the "Heimatbuch der Marktgemeinde Wartmannstetten" by Karl Pölzelbauer and Wolfgang Haider-Berky.

Fire departments in Wartmannstetten, Straßhof, Ramplach and Diepolz ensure the safety of our community. The largest cultural institution is our music association, the Trachtenkapelle Wartmannstetten. In the villages there is a lively club and village life with numerous events.
