Wallfahrtskirche St. Corona

Description

The patron saint of the pilgrimage church of St. Corona is St. Corona, who lived around 160 AD in what is now Turkey and is known as an intercessor in matters such as help in the hardships of everyday life, steadfastness in faith or averting natural disasters. Corona is also the patron saint of business people. Corona was honored by the lumberjacks in the densely wooded area of today's St. Corona and so the present pilgrimage church was finally founded in 1504. The baroque-style church building is now a listed building and is a popular destination for many pilgrims.
