Semmeringhäuschen
Description
A model of the Villa Mautner-Markhof on the Semmering - also known as Villa Neumann, named after its architect Franz von Neumann- stands in Payerbach Park today.
The model was made in 1904 by Payerbach master carpenter Karl Weinzettl to mark the 50th anniversary of the Semmering Railway. It is considered a typical example of the modern Semmering villa around 1900.
This historic model can still be admired today on a walk through the Payerbach park.
