Schneebergmuseum Puchberg
Description
Experience tradition at the Schneeberg Museum Puchberg
Opened in 1986, the Schneeberg Museum in Puchberg am Schneeberg offers an overview of folk culture, everyday life, crafts and trades, the history and development of the area around the Schneeberg. In a total of nine exhibition rooms, visitors are immersed in a time of past centuries - from the rural smoke kitchen to the parlor and a fully preserved cobbler's workshop.
Gallery as a meeting place
In 2016, to mark the museum's 30th anniversary, the gallery was set up in the adjoining building as a meeting place and for special exhibitions.
During the winter months, when the main building is closed, these special exhibitions are dedicated to changing focal points on very specific Puchberg themes.
The gallery was opened in June 2016 with an exhibition in memory of Dr. Karl Leitner with the presentation of part of his collections, which his wife left to the museum.
