Route description Cultural walk Payerbach-Reichenau

The starting point for the walk is the station in Payerbach. From here, the route leads downhill through the cemetery and past the Payerbacherhof. Then it goes over the Schwarza bridge and past the spa park with the music pavilion. We walk past the outdoor swimming pool and follow Dr. Eduard Coumont Street. On the way, you get unique views of villas and summer retreat buildings. The walk goes under the Schwarza viaduct and further along the Fischer Promenade. At the end of the promenade, we have already arrived in Reichenau. We turn right and cross the main road. Looking to the left, you will see the Reichenau theater, where the festival takes place every year. Then we continue along the Kurhaus promenade, along the Schwarza and over the bridge until we reach the Reichenau spa park. Here, the park with pavilion, pond, and boat rental invites you to linger. The route continues over the pedestrian bridge along the promenade to the castle square. From here we walk on to Thalhof Street. We pass the Sisi Castle Rudolfsvilla and follow the arrow towards Thalhof. Upon reaching Thalhof, the route goes over a forest path, the Schneeberg path, and the Schneedorfl back to Payerbach.
