Bread and mill museum
Description
The Bread and Mill Museum in the historic Dirnbach Mill in Gloggnitz vividly conveys the history of the milling and baking trade. Visitors discover how bread is made from grain and can marvel at historical mill technology, old baking utensils and a traditional wood-fired oven.
Program and guided tours:
- Programs for children: playful workshops about bread that combine knowledge and fun.
- Programs for adults: History of milling, development of modern high milling, construction of a grain kernel, tour of the bakery with authentic equipment from the working practice of the time.
- Bread baking workshops: Using old recipes to knead the dough yourself, special tours of the mill followed by a tasting of home-baked bread.
