The Bourbon Trail focuses on the decades-long charitable work of the last legitimate French king, Henry V., in the person of the Count of Chambord (1820-1883) and his aunt Marie Thérèse Charlotte de Bourbon, Duchess of Angoulême (1778-1851) for Lanzenkirchen.
The life's work of the Count of Chambord, who lived in exile in Austria in Frohsdorf from 1844 to 1883, extends far beyond the feudal castle of Frohsdorf: the foundation stone for the Sta. Christiana Frohsdorf school was laid by his aunt, Duchess of Angoulême. A walk along the Bourbon Trail provides historical insights into this period. Many other traces of the Bourbons can be discovered in Lanzenkirchen, such as the Lilienhof, the French tombs, etc.
