Arabichl - Kirchberg

Description

The Arabichl rises at around 1,595 meters as a striking peak in Wechselland and forms an impressive point on the border between Lower Austria and Styria. From Kirchberg am Wechsel, the summit can be hiked along a variety of paths, and once you reach the top, the Arabichl rewards you with sweeping views over the gently rolling pastures and forests.

A special highlight is the Steyersberger Schwaig - a traditional alpine hut that is a popular meeting place for guests all year round. Whether on a summer hike or after a winter excursion: the cozy atmosphere here invites you to linger and regional delicacies provide the perfect refreshment before continuing up to the Arabichl.

Whether summer or winter: The Arabichl is a worthwhile destination at any time of year. In summer, the hiking trails across the Schwaigen beckon, while in winter a cross-country ski trail leads right past the hut and opens up sporting opportunities in the snow. The Arabichl combines tranquil moments in nature with a living hut tradition - a destination that combines originality and hospitality.
