The stage of the Lower Austrian Marienweg runs from Payerbach via Reichenau, Hirschwang and Kaiserbrunn to Schwarzau im Gebirge.
Popis
Through the Schwarza valley, the route leads to Reichenau, one of the historic summer resort towns of the 19th century. Numerous villas along the way testify to this period. The route leads to Hirschwang, where you pass the valley station of the Rax cable car, which has been transporting visitors to the Rax plateau since 1926. You then follow the “water pipeline path” through the Höllental to Kaiserbrunn. From here, the route continues on the road to the Weichtalhaus. On the road, you finally reach Schwarzau im Gebirge, where several Mariazell paths converge. Due to traffic, it is strongly recommended to take the bus from Kaiserbrunn to Schwarzau!
