The double-track Pottschach station is located along the route of the Southern Railway. Generous waiting facilities for train passengers have been set up on the two platforms with barriers, which can be reached safely via an underpass.
Route information
- Regional trains to Payerbach-Reichenau and Vienna Floridsdorf stop here.
- Trains to Bernhardsthal and Mürzzuschlag are also served.
- There is a bus stop in front of the station with connections to Gloggnitz.
History of the station
Following the expansion of the Southern Railway, to which Pottschach station was connected in 1842, the municipality blossomed into a popular summer resort destination. A number of villas built at that time still stand as witnesses to the past in the village of Pottschach.
