Station Grünbach am Schneeberg

Grünbach am Schneeberg station is located on the main line of the Schneebergbahn. The history

Grünbach am Schneeberg was an important supplier of coal after the discovery of a coal deposit in 1823. After the coal mine was set up and the Schneeberg line was extended, this became even more important. In 1965, the plant had to be closed due to rising mining costs.

In the local mining museum, a great deal of knowledge about the coal mining era has been collected and presented to visitors in an entertaining way
