5.3 kilometers uphill with almost no roots or stones, perfect for e-mountain bikers, beginners and children.
The 5.3 km long uphill flow trail is a lot of fun uphill and can be tackled by young and old alike. Even experienced mountain bikers will experience a completely new riding sensation, because thanks to e-bikes, airtime is guaranteed on tables and berms, even on the ascent. It's worth trying it out! Once you have reached the highest point of the flow trail, the reward awaits: the downhill flow trail!
Please be considerate of other trail users and pay a little extra attention to children in particular. At trail intersections, please watch out for hikers and the shuttle buses.
- Hardtail, full-suspension, or children's bike
- Protective gear: helmet (required), knee and elbow pads
- Sturdy footwear
- Rain gear
Starting from the Unternberg neighborhood in St. Corona am Wechsel, the route winds through the Wexl Trails Mini Bike Park on very easy terrain— free of rocks and roots —with a steady 7% grade. The route features berms and tables, which are especially popular with e-mountain bikers because, with enough speed, they can even create jumps. The consistent signage helps ensure an effortless arrival at the Almrauschhütte.
You ride parallel to the downhill trails (flow trail and singletrack), catching glimpses of them along the way and able to join them at any point. This is especially helpful for children and beginners, as it shortens the uphill route.
Starting at the Mini Bike Park, you wind your way up alongside the forest road, flow trail, and singletrack until you reach the first intersection of the uphill and downhill bike trails. The route continues uphill to the first intersection with the forest road, which you cross diagonally. However, you can also choose the lower flow trail or singletrack for the downhill ride.
The route then continues up through Walboden to the intersection with the forest road, which you’ll follow for the final stretch to the reservoir. Via the old ski slope, the route re-enters the final section of the uphill flow trail to the next fork, where a left turn leads up to the Herrgottschnitzerhütte at 1,318 meters, or you can continue straight ahead to the Almrauschütte at 1,247 meters.
Those who want to go even higher can take the Kampsteiner Schwaig connecting route (#8) up to the Kampsteiner Schwaig, covering 150 meters of elevation gain and 2.3 km.
A large parking lot is available free of charge.
