The Frauen Alm route connects the Kampsteiner Schwaig with the Feistritzer Schwaig.
From the Kampsteiner Schwaig, start on a forest road to the panorama trails. Via a pleasant gravel path, you reach the Frauenalpe and the route towards Feistritzer Schwaig. You have to cover 3.4 km and 60 m of elevation gain.
Please be considerate of other trail users and pay a little more attention especially to children. At trail crossings, please watch out for hikers.
- Hardtail, full suspension or children's bike
- Protective gear: helmet (mandatory), knee and elbow pads
- Sturdy footwear
- Rainwear
The connecting route between the Kampsteiner and the Freistritzer Schwaig starts at 1400m and follows a gently sloping forest road. It alternates between uphill and downhill before reaching the beautiful Frauenalpe with a splendid view of the Hochwechsel. After a short descent on the Frauenalpe, you continue winding to the feeding area, before tackling a gently sloping climb of about 900m up to the Freistritzer Schwaig.
The excellent buchteln at the Kampsteiner Schwaig are a must!
