The Pichlers have always been committed to sustainability and a mindful approach to nature. Nina and Peter Jr. are also visionaries and passionate hosts. The hotel’s wooden addition was built entirely without iron nails, varnishes, or glues and consists of 100 percent Thoma moonwood. If you can’t sleep well here, where else can you? During the day, treat yourself to a wellness treatment or two, enjoy the sauna, go for a swim, do a little yoga or Pilates, and, of course, savor fresh, locally sourced meals. The hotel’s Paradiesgart’l truly lives up to its name. The chirping of the birds and the splashing of the natural swimming pond are truly heavenly. You’ll often run into Peter Pichler there as he picks fresh herbs for the kitchen and, under the motto “Cook the Gart’l,” combines them with regional products to create all sorts of delicacies at the gourmet restaurant Gaumenkitzel.
