Zauberberg Semmering – Skiing fun day and night

Ski on the slopes where every other year Anna Fenninger & Co compete for the World Cup win.

Zauberberg in the Vienna Alps is unique in Eastern Austria: The only World Cup slope and 14 kilometres of varied pistes are waiting here just for skiers – even at night.

Just one hour in the car from Vienna and Graz and you’ll find yourself at Hirschenkogel, the Magic Mountain in the Vienna Alps. The ski resort in Semmering is ideally suited for a day trip – night lighting means the drive is even worth it after work.

Pure skiing pleasure for all
The 14 kilometres of pistes on the 1350 metre high Zauberberg have something to offer for everybody: Sporty skiers can carve on the World Cup run, where the women’s world cup slalom and giant slalom takes place every two years. Freestylers can use the obstacles and kickers on the two-part split park for creative jibbing and jumping. And budding skiers can practice their first turns on the fairy-tale character slalom of the Semmering Happy Lift. 24 snow cannons guarantee snow, and for night-time skiing the whole of Zauberberg, including the split park, is illuminated from 6pm every evening.

The 3km long Adventure Toboggan Run also offers particular fun in the snow. This is also illuminated so you can also toboggan at night as well as ski.

Pit stops for young and old
Away from the slopes five huts and restaurants invite you in for a cozy pit-stop. Party animals and ski bunnies can round off the day’s skiing with après-ski in the ZauberBAR, where live acts and barkeeper’s sets keep the entertainment going until 4am.
