Schneeberg chairlift

Description

In just a few minutes from 870 to 1,210 meters above sea level: the Schneeberg chairlift is the most comfortable and fastest connection from the valley to the Faden. This saddle is the starting point of countless panoramic hikes to the 2,076-meter Schneeberg, the highest mountain in Lower Austria. Exact information can be found in the operating times and the price list of the respective railroad (www.puchis-welt.at).

Directly above the top station of the chairlift is the Edelweisshütte. The Almreserlhaus also offers a beautiful panoramic terrace. From the mountain station it is only a 10-minute walk to the refuge.

Tourers and freeriders will find a true paradise here if there is enough snow.

In case of bad weather, operating restrictions are possible.
Caution: During hiking operation lunch break from 12:00 to 12:45 hrs.
